This

Is the only photo of anything food related that I've taken in the past month. I'm a terrible blog keeper -.-

Lately I've been busy moving, trying to find a new apartment, and also trying to repair my credit after a year of living like the bald woman in a wheelchair who begs for change on Michigan avenue. I'm a mess. As much as I would like to buy a new computer, I'm more focused on the medical bills I've accumulated because somehow the hospital said I was listed as self pay. Sure thing blood suckers.

Maybe more later. Till then hill babies.

Your face is a hot ass dog bed.

(I am quite annoyed with this now. I just finished the post, but there is no way to center my text or improve photo quality on this garbage application! Not amused!)

So I've found that there is actually a blogger app that I can download on my phone that actually works! I'm going to start doing posts from here until I manage to save enough money for a computer.

I'm actually moving into my new apartment here in Chicago in a little over two weeks, which is pretty exciting considering I won't be completely broke all the time.

So when I stopped posting here in early 2011, I was still living in Maryland. In July of that same year I visited San Diego for the first time and realized that the food scene at home wasn't going to cut it if I really wanted to get as far as I possibly could in my career. I moved to California May of the following year.

Two months before, however, I took a trip in March '12 to Chicago alone to meet up with my friend Killer B. We met working together at a place in Baltimore, but 6 months later she returned to Illinois where she was from to finish school.

I was blown away by the city. I had been to New York several times, but there was something different about this place. It seemed cool without being annoyingly so. I like to imagine I'm the same way, but I'm not so sure (yet some people still feel I should dial it back with my outfits, example above).

I spent the summer in Cali, sold my car, and moved here almost one year ago. My rent was crazy expensive, but it was a really nice apartment. Stone floors, 50" tv, 13' ceilings... $1060 a month ._. I cannot afford that. Moving from a place where I paid nothing to live there, and having this be the amount coming out of my bi weekly pay was a huge shock. But, I signed the lease so I had to pay for 12 months.

I honestly would've brought this site back sooner, but I've pretty much been eating spaghetti-o's and cereal for a year. Not to say that I haven't had a lot of fun and eaten some really great stuff here, it's just that most of those things were at work or work related, so I couldn't really say too much about them anyway.

So here we are. One year later. One more to go, then it's off to someplace else. This is no longer just a food blog, I'm changing the theme again. Haven't quite figured out what that new theme is yet. I'll get back to you on that.

Incoherent rushed before work post over! Disperse!

SUNSPOTS

I've been away for so long. I have distanced myself from everything and everyone through internet connections (well hell, probably from real life too I suppose).
IN THE PAST TWO YEARS I'VE LOST MY MIND
 2011-2013 was a Blackout.
I'VE CHANGED COMPLETELY
I'm at an interesting point in my career and life. I've contemplated reviving this site for sometime now and I really want to.
ITS AN IMPROVEMENT
This was the thing keeping me focused, and being able to look back on my past and see more than just photos on my phone, most of which I probably can't even remember the date they were taken. DisCow was my journal. A very unpredictable, ridiculous journal.
PERFECT THINGS IN THIS EXISTENCE ARE POSSIBLE. DON'T LISTEN TO PEOPLE WHO SAY THEY AREN'T
I've sacrificed a few goats and chickens (to eat of course), and the resurrection is almost complete.
DOUBT IS THE ONLY THING KEEPING YOUR DREAMS FROM COMING TRUE
It might be two weeks, or it might be a few months, but the plan is to purchase a laptop and start over. Again.

JUST ASK ME
AND I'LL SHOW YOU THE WAY

I WOULD WILLINGLY SHARE ALL THAT I'VE EVER LEARNED
TO ANYONE
BUT NO ONE EVER ASKS
AND IT'S NOT MY BUSINESS TO INFLUENCE THEM
IF THEY AREN'T DRAWN TO THE IDEA OF IT THEMSELVES

BUT CONSIDER THIS BEFORE YOU WRITE ME OFF
I've been doing this since 2008. I was 15 when I posted my first entry. I am now turning 96 20 in a few weeks. If the internet still exists in 50 years, I imagine it'll still be nice to check my progress.
